Account Manager

PJP Marketplace is a Philadelphia-based foodservice supplier and independent grocery with three cash & carry locations. We're expanding our B2B sales team as the segment grows — and hiring an Account Manager to prospect new accounts, grow existing ones, and report directly to the CEO.This is a hunter role with real autonomy. If you've built a B2B or foodservice book of business before and want to do it again somewhere you'll actually have impact, this is worth a look.What you'll ownNew business development –  outbound prospecting, cold outreach, referrals, and networking to build a qualified pipeline of foodservice and B2B accounts across the Philadelphia market.Account growth – regular site visits and check-ins with existing customers to expand product penetration, protect revenue, and identify new needs before they become problems.Commercial execution – preparing pricing and proposals within margin guidelines, ensuring customer terms are accurately documented, and partnering with Finance on receivables for your accounts.Cross-functional coordination – working closely with delivery logistics and store teams to make sure service execution matches what you sold. Your reputation with customers depends on it.Pipeline management – maintaining accurate activity records and providing regular updates to leadership using available tools.What we're looking forProven B2B or foodservice sales experience with a track record of acquiring new accounts, not just managing inherited ones. Strong prospecting and closing skills. Self-directed enough to build your own rhythm without waiting to be managed. Comfortable using data to track and communicate results.
