Coding Specialist

*Job Summary* We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Coding Specialist to join our healthcare team. The Coding Specialist will be responsible for accurately assigning diagnostic and procedural codes to patient records for billing and insurance purposes. *Responsibilities* - Review and analyze patient health records - Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10, ICD-9) to diagnoses and procedures - Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations - Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers to clarify information - Work closely with the billing department to resolve any coding issues - Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and regulations *Experience* - Proven experience as a Coding Specialist or in a similar role - Proficiency in medical coding systems and software - Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses - Familiarity with medical billing, collections, and insurance processes - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Certification in medical coding is preferred but not required Join our team as a Coding Specialist to contribute to the efficient operation of our healthcare facility while advancing your career in medical coding.
