Senior Fund Accountant

A leading NYC-based venture capital firm is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join its growing finance team. This role will report directly to the Controller and offers significant exposure to fund operations and leadership within a high-growth environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven accounting professional with private equity or venture capital experience who is looking to take the next step in their career with strong visibility, ownership, and growth potential. The ideal candidate will bring 3 - 5 years of public accounting or private equity/venture capital accounting experience with an active CPA designation. Key Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day fund accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reportingAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for multiple funds and related entitiesPrepare and review capital calls, distributions, and investor allocationsMaintain and analyze fund-level and portfolio company financial dataSupport preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and investor reporting packagesQualifications:3-5 years of public accounting or private equity/venture capital accounting experience CPA designationCollaborative, detail-oriented, and well-rounded personalityStrong communication skillsJob #49001
