Assistant Sales Manager/ FT Year-Round/ Benefits Summary: The Assistant Sales Manager is responsible for helping the sales team oversee all revenue-generating outlets of Clearly Tahoe. The Assistant Sales Manager will be responsible to assist HR and the Clearly Tahoe Management team with the recruitment, training and scheduling of Sales Team and performance of Sales employees. The Assistant Sales Manager will assist with meeting the financial goals of Clearly Tahoe by helping run reports and oversee monthly sales trends/performance. The Assistant Sales Manager will assist in ensuring company policies and protocol are met by all Sales Employees. The Assistant Sales Manager will need to assist and/or oversee the resolution process for customer disputes and complaints and will be expected to help resolve disputes that may call for a refund or other resolution methods. The Assistant Sales Manager will be expected to work with Activities Manager and other Clearly Tahoe Management to open/close activities based on needs/demands and communicate with local partner locations about schedule changes and operational closures. The Assistant Sales Manager will work with the Marketing team to strategize on promotional plans, attend Clearly Tahoe management meetings as necessary as well at network at local Marketing, Sales and recruitment events. About Company: Clearly Tahoe is a full-service recreational company in the Lake Tahoe area that specializes in guided tours and rentals on both land and water. We currently feature guided tours from 5 different Lake Tahoe locations, operate 1 rental concession on Lake Tahoe and 2 adventure-themed retail shops in the Tahoe basin. In addition to our popular tours in completely transparent kayaks, Clearly Tahoe also offers on-site rentals from the Sand Harbor Nevada State Park, hiking, biking and snowshoe tours during the off-season. Our sister location based out of California offers 2 additional tour locations and guided excursions that depart from our 46-foot tri-toon, the Clearly Explorer. With a team of more than 60 employees, Clearly Tahoe offers a variety of both seasonal and year-round positions, in-house training, and growth opportunities. Work Environment: The Assistant Sales Manager will be expected to oversee the sales team in their place of work at our Clearly Tahoe shops and offices. Assistant Sales Manager will primarily work out of a shared sales office at our Zephyr Cove location but will have access to the management office and meeting spaces as necessity. Schedule: The Assistant Sales Manager schedule may be flexible and designed to accommodate needs within the Sales department. Working shifts should be between 6:00am and 10:00pm and average 8 hours days and 40-hour weeks. The Assistant Sales Manager should have an element of consistency that can be communicated with other Managerial team members. The Assistant Sales Manager may be expected to attend meetings and events outside of their normal schedule and make accommodation as necessary. Necessary skills: - Assist with overseeing a team - Comfortably engage with guests in person or via email/phone. - Professionally enforce company policies. - Manage time and multi -task. - Work independently and as part of a larger team - Proficiency with computer systems and company operations systems - Handle cash with honesty and accuracy. - Identify irregular activity, missing or damaged items. Qualifications: - Must be fluent in English. - 2 Years Sales/Customer Service Experience (preferred) - Computer proficiency Preferred skills: - Communicate with excellent interpersonal skills. - Self-starter. - Ability to identify problems and propose solutions independently. - Familiar with sales reporting, can deliver information about sales goals as needed. Job Duties: Sales Team - Communicate with HR or Office Manager to recruit new employees. - Assist in the recruitment and interview process. - Ensure all on-boarding and orientation requirements have been met. - Help facilitate necessary Sales training for company-wide employees. - Work with other departments to ensure Sales accounts have been enabled for employees who require access. - Train or delegate training for new Sales employees. - Conduct 30-day new hire reviews and routine 30-day reviews for Sales Team. - Assist with creation and manage sales incentives. - Help coordinate team-specific activities and trainings. - Work with Activities manager to communicate company-wide changes, updates or events. Inventory Sales Management - Assist with creating seasonal purchasing plan and allocate budget accordingly. - Work with finance to update budget as necessary. - Oversee new products/vendors and purchasing activity. - Produce retail sales performance reports to improve purchasing plan. - Oversee and delegate routine inventory checks. - Create plan to minimize theft and damage. - Train sales team on products, vendors and sales techniques to improve performance. - Ensure emergency protocols are in place for theft and incidents. Reservation Sales Management - Assist with customer disputes and complaints. - Help coordinate group sales and events. - Ensure policies and protocols are being followed by both employees and guests. - Communicate with Activities Manager to open/close or control bookings accordingly. - Work with Office/HR/Activities Manager/Equipment Manager to ensure resources are in place for sudden schedule changes or unique demand. - Communicate with location representatives with updates on operational status and seasonal changes. - Have a great understanding of our reservations operating system and communicate with reps about our needs Sales Meetings and Reporting - Work with Marketing Team to determine promotions and plans to drive sales to necessary revenue streams. - Review Weekly Sales Reports from in person sales locations for accuracy and input into master record. - Oversee movement of cash from various locations. - Submit monthly expense reports. - Submit monthly sales reports for various revenue streams. - Meet with Management Team to discuss company-wide announcements, goals and changes. - Attend local Sales events as necessary. - Meet with 3rd party sales representatives to coordinate collaborative opportunities. - Review Media requests. Consult Marketing Team as necessary. - Determine non-profit and community involvement contributions. - Attend company-wide promotional events. - Speak on behalf of Clearly Tahoe as necessary.
