What will you make today?DescriptionPerforms all activities related to development, implementation, and maintenance of multiple Oracle Databases. Essential FunctionsEnsures system and data availability through successful planning and implementation of backup and recovery strategyImplements and manages database best practices to assist performance and ensure maximum uptime of the databaseHandles day-to-day database activities including performance monitoring and tuning to ensure the efficient and accurate operation of the database systems. Provides database user administrationDesigns, implements and documents scripts used for managing the databases and supporting the systems. Monitors database environment to ensure stability and availability Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databasesPlans and executes the installation of new versions of the Oracle RDBMS and its tools. Responsible for assisting in the installation/upgrade of any tools that access the Oracle DatabaseFunctions as database subject matter expert for determining the best tools and methodologies to ensure the IT vision of the company is accomplishedParticipates in the change control process by assisting in planning and execution of changesImplements and enforces security and licensing for all of the Oracle Databases through the implementation of best practices. Best practices may be OEM specific, or industry prescribedEnsures all application design and code is produced with proper database integrity, security and performance in mindDefines, enforces, and maintains database constraints to ensure integrity of the databaseAdministers all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages and proceduresAssists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objectsProvides incident and problem management with issues regarding the databases, applications and development tools.
