Meade, Maryland, working on cutting-edge, mission-critical projects at the intersection of reverse engineering, software development, and network exploitation. In this role, you'll serve as a general-purpose CNO reverse engineer focused on network-based devices, designing, developing, prototyping, modifying, and integrating solutions that deliver real mission impact. You won't be working in a vacuum - you'll collaborate closely with analysts, operators, data scientists, and fellow software engineers to provide mission tactical support. From augmenting existing toolsets to building prototypes that demonstrate a clear understanding of mission requirements, your work will directly shape the capabilities our customers depend on. This is a senior-level role for someone who has done this before and wants to do it at the highest level. Requirements12 years of relevant experience with a B.S., or 10 years with an M.S. - 4 years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degreeFamiliarity with Unix-based systemsExperience reverse engineering Linux-based network devicesIn-depth understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP) and hands-on experience analyzing network traffic (e.g., Wireshark)Ability to produce and modify software systems in C, C++, Python, and/or AssemblyExperience providing support for fielded software systemsFamiliarity with version control tools including Git and SubversionProficiency with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)Active TS//SCI clearance with polygraph Preferred SkillsExperience reverse engineering Windows or embedded platforms (RTOS)Experience with any of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, C#, or RustExperience developing CNO-specific software for Linux, Windows, or embedded applicationsExperience with vulnerability research and exploit developmentKnowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systemsExperience with production CNO capabilities and operations Benefits at BitwiseTop salaries because we're top performersPick your PTO - Everyone values time and money differently, so we give you the flexibility to choose between 3 and 5 weeks of PTO with a corresponding adjustment to your pay.
