We are currently seeking an experienced Internal Medicine - Cardiologist for an exciting Locum Tenens opportunity in Montana. This position will allow you to contribute to a long-term vacancy with flexible scheduling. Below are the essential details for your consideration: Assignment Details Location: Near Roberts, MTSpecialty: Internal Medicine - CardiologyStart Date: January 13, 2025End Date: Ongoing (with possible extension)Schedule: Full-time with weekend call; Weekdays are regular shifts (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)Coverage Type: Call only (Weekends)Call Ratio: 2:7 on weekends, with an average of 3 phone consults per 24-hour shiftPatients per Shift: 20-25 patients, with rounding required on assigned patientsFacility Type: Inpatient, Hospital settingEMR: Cerner Key Responsibilities Provide cardiology consultation for inpatients, with a focus on non-invasive cardiology and related services.Participate in weekend call, with an average of 3 phone consults per 24 hours.Supervise advanced practice providers (APPs) on site, including NP/PAs and RNs.Rounding on assigned patients in the department.Read non-invasive cardiology studies, including echocardiograms, on weekends.No requirement for hospital privileges or surgery center use. Required Qualifications Board certification in Internal Medicine - Cardiology is required.Fellowship training in Cardiology is mandatory.Must be licensed in Montana or hold an IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) license.BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.Ability to manage both inpatient cardiology and emergency cardiology cases.Familiarity with non-invasive cardiology procedures, such as Echocardiography, TEE, Nuclear Cardiology, and STEMI management.Experience with cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, permanent pacemaker placement, and other cardiology procedures is highly preferred. Additional Information Credentialing: Estimated timeframe for credentialing is 90 days.Support Staff: Will be supported by 1 RN, 1 MA, and 1 office staff member.Lodging: Housing accommodations will be provided, with recommended options available.Travel: Assistance with travel arrangements is available.
