We value professional autonomy, innovation, and meaningful collaboration, and have been recognized with the Great Place to Work certification for the second year in a row.Senior Project Manager – Transportation & Civil InfrastructureSanta Rosa, CABase Pay Range$135,000.00 / yr – $190,000.00 / yrResponsibilitiesLead design and project management efforts across a variety of transportation infrastructure projects, including roadway rehabilitation, new alignments, retaining walls, curbs, traffic improvements, wildlife crossings, highways, roundabouts, and multimodal corridorsCoordinate with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality public infrastructure projects from concept through constructionNavigate permitting processes, technical studies, and agency coordination to ensure smooth project deliveryApply a strong understanding of transportation design standards and regulatory requirements to guide project executionMentor junior staff and contribute to team development through technical guidance and career supportRepresent BKF in client meetings, public forums, and industry events, serving as a trusted advisor to stakeholdersIdentify new project opportunities and actively participate in business development efforts, including proposal preparation and cross-selling servicesBuild visibility and strengthen BKF's transportation presence across the Bay Area through strategic engagement and relationship-buildingRequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related fieldProfessional Engineer (P.E.) license in California is requiredMinimum 10 years of experience managing transportation civil infrastructure projects through the full lifecycleProven success in business development, client relationship management, and strategic market positioningStrong leadership, communication, and mentoring skillsProficiency with project management tools, along with a strong background in design using AutoCAD/Civil 3DWillingness to travel between offices and client sitesPhysical DemandsMust be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 20 pounds with accommodations.Work ConditionsExposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
