CDL CLASS A LOCAL DRIVER

Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Drive flatbeds on designated local routes. Load and unload cargo efficiently using forklift or manual methods, ensuring proper handling and securement of freight. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify truck condition, safety equipment, and compliance with DOT standards. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records. Follow planned routes to ensure timely deliveries while adapting to traffic conditions and route changes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and drop-offs. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record. Experience operating manual transmission trucks in a commercial setting. Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving and freight handling. Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is preferred. Ability to load & unload cargo using forklifts or manual techniques safely. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to tractor-trailer operation and freight transportation. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service.
