Collections Representative

Collections & Billing SpecialistA well-established and growing organization is seeking a Collections & Billing Specialist to support their Accounts Receivable team. This role is fully onsite in Itasca and offers a collaborative, upbeat work environment with great team culture.About the RoleYou will manage soft collections outreach to past-due customers and assist with billing and cash application tasks. This position is perfect for someone personable, organized, and eager to learn, with strong communication skills and a customer-friendly approach.Key Responsibilities Collections (Primary Focus)Reach out to past-due customers-primarily via email, with occasional phone callsWork from AR aging reports and follow up 1-2 times per weekManage a mix of invoices ranging from $200 to $400,000Coordinate assigned customer groups (A-K or L-Z) depending on team needsMaintain a professional, relationship-driven, soft-collections style Billing & Support (Training Provided)Enter invoice numbers and shipping details into the internal systemSave and organize supporting documents received from the warehouseAssist with cash application using a custom internal systemPerform general AR support as needed What We're Looking ForMust-HavesPersonable, outgoing, and comfortable communicating with customersWillingness to learn and ability to pick up new systemsReliability in a Monday-Friday onsite settingTeam-oriented attitude and strong attention to detailNice-to-HavesPrevious experience in billing, AR, or cash applicationFamiliarity with collections (especially soft collections)Basic Excel comfort (no advanced functions required) Schedule & DetailsLocation: Onsite in Itasca, ILHours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday Why You'll Enjoy This RoleFriendly, supportive team with a fun, people-focused cultureRegular employee events, celebrations, and themed activitiesLong-tenured leadership committed to growth and developmentOpportunity to learn multiple areas of finance
