As a DAS Systems Performance Engineer II, you will play a critical role in ensuring wireless networks perform to the highest technical, operational, and customer standards.Responsibilities:Provide onsite technical implementation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance support for in-building DAS and managed wireless networks.Conduct pre- and post-deployment RF benchmarking, data collection, and performance analysis.Perform CW testing, spectrum analysis, segment and system sweep testing, PIM testing, and OTDR testing as required.Analyze faults, mitigate interference, balance links, and isolate system issues through logical troubleshooting and signal tracing.Support NOC teams by investigating technical trouble tickets and resolving DAS performance issues in accordance with service-level agreements.Collaborate with mobile network operators, neutral-host venues, project managers, construction teams, operations groups, and customers.Provide technical guidance during deployment, maintenance windows, inspections, testing, and project closeout activities.Prepare technical updates, method-of-procedure documents, reports, measurement files, project documentation, and closeout packages.Must-Have Skills:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.Three to five years of experience in RF engineering, in-building DAS, RAN, small cell networks, or related wireless systems.Strong RF mathematics skills, including link budgets, power sharing, noise figure calculations, and RF propagation principles.Advanced experience using spectrum analyzers, demodulators, cable analyzers, power meters, scanners, and user equipment.Hands-on expertise with RF benchmarking, CW testing, spectrum analysis, system sweep testing, PIM testing, and OTDR testing.Ability to interpret blueprints, iBwave design files, and technical network documentation.Strong RF troubleshooting, fault isolation, signal tracing, link balancing, and interference mitigation capabilities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio, along with Bluebeam.Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently and collaboratively, travel regionally, and maintain a valid driver’s license.Nice-to-Have Skills:Experience with 5G, LTE, CBRS, private wireless networks, RAN optimization, and neutral-host environments.Familiarity with DAS platforms and equipment from Corning ONE, JMA Wireless, SOLiD, or Comba Telecom.Experience supporting AHJ inspections, third-party testing, and customer acceptance activities.Knowledge of NOC operations, technical trouble-ticket resolution, maintenance windows, and SLA-driven support.Experience creating method-of-procedure documents, technical reports, and comprehensive project closeout packages.Exposure to cloud-based project documentation systems and network performance management tools.Ability to quickly learn new DAS hardware, software, and testing technologies in fast-paced environments.
