James Bates Brannan Groover, LLP (JBBG) is seeking an associate to join its Real Estate Practice Group in the Atlanta office.Our real estate group handles a broad range of matters, including commercial and multi-family transactions, construction lending, and government-guaranteed loans (SBA and USDA).As an associate, you will gain hands-on experience across all phases of real estate transactions. Responsibilities include:Drafting and reviewing loan documents, leases, and other transaction agreementsSupporting due diligence and managing closing processesAssisting with zoning, land use, and title mattersWorking directly with clients, including lenders, developers, and investorsWe take a hands-on, team-oriented approach, giving associates meaningful responsibility early while providing close mentorship from experienced attorneys. Our culture is grounded in our core values: servant leadership, pursuit of excellence, integrity, and respect for others.Qualifications2+ years of relevant commercial real estate experienceExperience drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, and closing documents for commercial real estate transactionsFamiliarity with title, survey review, and managing transaction closingsStrong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters independently and as part of a teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated interest in continuing to develop and expand within a commercial real estate practiceAdmitted to the Georgia Bar and in good standing, or admitted in another state and eligible and willing to seek admission in Georgia
