Corporate Administrator (San Mateo)
Who We Are:Aurelius Systems is a VC backed defense tech startup building autonomous, edge deployed directed energy systems for counter-UAS. We build laser weapons to shoot down drones. We're a small team of engineers, former US military operators, and subject matter experts scaling America's directed energy dominance. The first cost effective, reliable and robust laser weapon system. Our namesake isn't an accident. Marcus Aurelius wrote about doing the work in front of you, every day, without excuses. Henry Ford didn't wait for permission to reinvent manufacturing. That's how we operate, small team, unreasonable output, no hiding behind the unachievable. In addition to our San Francisco lab, we've opened a Detroit manufacturing hub and we field test weekly on our own 400-acre private range. The Role and Your Impact:We need a Corporate Administrator to be the connective tissue of the company. Where Ops keeps the hardware floor and facilities running, you keep the software, systems, and schedules running. You own calendaring, internal tooling, documentation, and the workflows that let everyone else move fast. What You'll Own:Executive and team calendaring, scheduling, and meeting coordination across the orgOffice software, subscriptions, and tool administration including provisioning, renewals, and accessInternal documentation, knowledge bases, and org-wide resources that stay current and findableInternal comms support and process management as the company scalesAdministrative systems and workflows that everyone defaults toCross-functional project support, partnering closely with the Ops team where physical and digital meetWhat We're Looking For:3-7+ years in administrative, executive assistant, operations coordination, or military admin / S-1 rolesExceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, comfortable holding many threads at onceDirect, clear and trusted communicator who works cleanly across teamsProactive problem-solver who takes ownership and closes loops without being chasedComfortable with ambiguity in an early-stage company that's still figuring out its processesWhere you probably come from: Administrative or EA roles at a startup or high-growth tech company, operations coordination where you ran the systems and scheduling, or military admin and personnel trades where you kept the unit's paperwork and calendars tight. We want to talk if: You're the person everyone already comes to when they can't find something or need something scheduled. You see a broken process and fix it instead of filing a ticket. Not a fit if: You need a hardware or facilities role (that's our Ops Specialist), you wait for written process before you'll act, or you let things sit in your inbox.Nice to Haves:Experience at a startup or high-growth tech companyFamiliarity with project management toolsVeteran with military admin, personnel, or S-1 backgroundExperience administering SaaS stacks and access controlsEducation: No degree required.
