Superintendent - Data Centers/Mission Critical Superintendent - Data Centers/Mission Critical Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead construction of mission critical facilities including data centers, hyperscale and semiconductor projects. The Superintendent will manage on-site operations for ground-up and industrial builds, ensure MEP systems and mission critical infrastructure are installed to specification, enforce CSA and other regulatory standards, and coordinate with owners, contractors and design teams. Frequent travel to project sites will be required. Key Responsibilities Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities for data center, hyperscale, semiconductor and industrial projects from ground-up through turnover. Manage installation, testing and commissioning of mission critical electrical, mechanical and MEP systems to meet design intent and uptime requirements. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors and trade foremen to maintain schedule, quality and safety targets on fast-track programs. Enforce compliance with CSA standards and local building codes, and coordinate inspections and regulatory approvals. Monitor project schedules, identify risks and implement corrective actions to maintain milestones and delivery dates. Conduct daily site meetings, provide regular progress reports to project management and owners, and maintain accurate field documentation. Implement and maintain rigorous safety and quality control programs on-site, ensuring adherence to company and client requirements. Facilitate commissioning and handover activities, including punchlist resolution, O&M documentation and training for operations teams. Manage material logistics, site access, and temporary utilities to support continuous construction progress. Travel to multiple project sites as required and support cross-site coordination for consistency and standardization. Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of superintendent-level experience on data center, mission critical, hyperscale or semiconductor construction projects. Proven experience managing ground-up and industrial construction with strong knowledge of MEP systems, testing and commissioning processes. Demonstrated ability to deliver projects meeting mission critical uptime requirements and strict quality standards. Familiarity with CSA standards and local code compliance; experience coordinating third-party inspections and regulatory approvals. Strong leadership skills with experience supervising large, multi-trade workforces and managing subcontractor performance. Excellent communication, problem-solving and documentation skills, with the ability to produce clear daily reports and progress updates. Willingness to travel frequently between project sites; valid drivers license required. Certifications preferred: OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, Commissioning credentials (e.g., BICSI, Certified Commissioning Professional) and formal safety or construction management training.
