Urgent - Locum - Gastroenterologist - Longmont, CO ( IMLC accepted)
Job Description Schedule: Each locum (2 total FTE) completes 14 (24-hour shifts per month) 7 days on, 7 days off (need 2 physicians who can alternate weeks, that would mesh together for essentially full time coverage) Hospital rounding and GI procedures (in hospital); potential to take open block from departing GI surgeons Urgent cases as well as routine; will plan on 12 routine cases per week; 24 per month 12-hour days (in hospital) and 12 hours of call. Will come in on call to complete urgent cases Call Back: Weekday - 10%; Weekend - 10%; ICU 10%; ER - 0% Details: Practice Type: Hospital-Based Trauma level III Percentage of the practice: Adult - 100%; Pediatric - 100%; Neonate - 100%; Hospital - 100%; Gastro - 100% Average number of hospital patients per physician per day: 0-5; ICU - 0-5 Locum tenens physician required to supervise other healthcare providers: No Other gastroenterologists be present during locum tenens coverage: Yes Lab & X-ray onsite: Yes Number of exam rooms: N/A no clinic work Office Ancillary: N/A no clinic work Office Equipment: N/A no clinic work Documentation System: Office/Clinic and Hospital - EMR Required Clinical Areas: Outpatient - Gastroenterology Inpatient - Gastroenterology Required Procedures: Upper GI endoscopy: with biopsy, with foreign body removal, with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), with injection of varices, with banding of varices, with PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) Esophageal dilatation/manometry Small bowel biopsy Lower GI endoscopy Sigmoidoscopy - Flexible, Rigid Colonoscopy - with biopsy, with excision of polyp, Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube Preferred Procedures: Upper GI endoscopy - with ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) - Diagnostic & Therapeutic Submission Requirements Board Certification (Gastroenterology) - REQUIRED BLS & ACLS - REQUIRED CO License or IMLC - REQUIRED
