The Senior Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the Aerospace Components Division by partnering closely with the Senior Financial Analyst and the Business Unit General Manager. This position is responsible for a broad range of accounting and financial activities that ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient financial operations.Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in an accounting or financial role with at least five years in a manufacturing environment.Senior Staff AccountantYour Roles/Responsibilities:Perform daily, multi-entity bookkeeping and general ledger accounting activities for the Aerospace Components Division across multiple business units and locationsPost, review, and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and completenessPrepare and process customer invoicing in accordance with established policies and timelinesEnter and maintain financial data, including journal entries, within the ERP systemAssist with customer inquiries related to billing, payments, and account statusComplete bank account reconciliations and investigate variances as neededPerform general ledger account reconciliations and support month-end close activitiesManage accounts receivable activities and assist with customer collections effortsComplete a variety of accounting and administrative support tasks, including processing employee expense reports and preparing ad-hoc financial and operational reportsYour Profile/Qualifications/Skills:Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related fieldA minimum of ten years of relevant experience in an accounting or financial role required A minimum of five years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment requiredExperience in aerospace, defense, or related project businesses preferredExperience with government contracts, preferredExperience with project cost accounting and percentage of completion revenue recognition strongly preferredBasic understanding of GAAPAbility to understand and master complex ERP systemsWe Offer:Employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance401k matchCompany-paid holidays and Paid-Leave Time9/80 flex scheduleAbout Acutronic:The Acutronic Group has a proud history of building technologies and teams that are crucial to the aerospace, defense, and transportation industries.Acutronic's Simulation & Test Division is the global market leader in high-performance motion simulation and test equipment.
