About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Two‐Way Radio Installer with proven experience in vehicle installations . This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in clean, reliable installs and understands the importance of safety, performance, and professionalism when working on customer vehicles.Primary Responsibilities* Install two‐way radios in cars, trucks, vans, buses and specialty vehicles
* Install supporting equipment including:
* * Antennas and mounts
* Remote heads and control units
* Speakers, microphones, and accessories* Perform vehicle installations of two way radios and GPS tracking and fleet systems
* Route and secure wiring cleanly and safely (dash, firewall, engine bay, trunk)
* Read and follow wiring diagrams and installation manuals
* Troubleshoot, test, and verify system operation after installation
* Maintain clean, professional workmanship in customer vehicles
* Communicate clearly with customers and team membersRequired Qualifications* Minimum 4 years of hands‐on experience with vehicle installations, including one or more of the following:
* * Two‐way radios
* CB radios
* Car audio systems
* Cameras or GPS systems* Strong understanding of:
* * 12‐volt vehicle electrical systems
* Electric Vehicles
* Grounding, power distribution, and fuse protection* Proficient use of computers for programming
* Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
* Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
* Valid driver's licensePreferred* Experience with commercial or fleet vehicles
* Prior work with public safety, construction, or business radios
* Manufacturer certifications (Motorola, Kenwood, etc.)
* Basic programming or setup experienceRequires some travel* Customers range from Woodland to Fresno and Napa to San Jose
* Occasional travel out of state, all travel included
* Monday thru Friday
* Ocassional but rare Saturdays, unless you are travelling
* Hours vary from 7am-7pm but mostly 8am-6pmCompany Description
