Role Description This is a remote contract role for a Graphic Novel Designer. The designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing graphic novel visuals, including character designs, layouts, and covers. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with writers and editors, creating storyboards, refining illustrations, and ensuring cohesive visual storytelling. The designer will be expected to meet project deadlines and maintain high-quality standards in their work. Qualifications Experience in graphic design, illustration, and storytellingProficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesignStrong understanding of typography, layout design, and visual compositionAbility to create detailed and expressive character designs and environmentsExperience in storyboarding and visual storytelling for graphic novelsStrong communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to work effectively with creative teamsUnderstanding of the entertainment industry's visual aesthetics is a plusPrevious experience with graphic novels, comics, or similar visual storytelling mediums is highly beneficialFlexibility to work remotely and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
