If you are selected to join our team you will enjoy benefits such as quarterly bonus, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), company paid life insurance, and other great benefits!The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring that all accounting functions in their areas of responsibility are performed in a timely and efficient manner, and are in compliance with GAAP, company policies and procedures.Areas Of Responsibility May IncludeMaintain General Ledger in accordance with GAAP and Company Accounting StandardsSupport the monthly close process through the posting and preparation of a wide range of journal entries and account reconciliationsMonitor ledger posting activityMonitor and manage close schedule/tasksPrepare ledgers for submission and reportingCost/ Inventory AccountingPreparing inventory related journal entriesReconciling raw materials, work-in-progress and finished-goods inventory ledger balancesPlanning, coordinating, and reconciling physical inventory counts on a monthly and annual basisWork with operations team members to ensure timely and accurate countsAssisting with inventory cost analysis as neededFixed Asset AccountingTracking capital asset request expenditures and in-service activityPreparing & posting journal entriesMaintaining fixed asset listing in fixed asset softwareImplement and perform fixed asset physical counts proceduresPreparing annual industrial property tax returnsPayroll AccountingMaintain general ledger interface with payroll provider and record payroll journal and payroll accrualsGenerate analysis and journal entries related to benefit accrualsReconcile payroll bank accountOtherPerpare and report out various reports on a monthly and quarterly basisAct as a primary contact for internal and external auditsMaintain process documentation for areas of responsibilityIdentify opportunities for process improvement and work with personnel inside and outside of accounting to implement changesBack up various accounting responsibilities which may include running ERP journals, accounts receivable receipt posting, accounts payable vouchering, etc.Other duties as assignedInformation SystemsMaintain and expand expertise in Infor Visual Enterprise, Crystal Reports, SQL querying, and Microsoft Excel.Seek new ways to improve processes.Develop new procedures and train others as requestedRequired Skills And ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in accounting or sufficient relevant experienceFive or more years of accounting/finance experienceAbility to work to tight deadlines and perform tasks with a high degree of accuracySolid knowledge of accounting processes, technology systems and intermediate Microsoft Excel skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to develop strong working relationships with staff in accounting/finance and other departmentsScheduleWeekdays: Monday-FridayOnsiteConsolidated Precision Products (CPP) is an industry-leading manufacturer of highly-engineered components and sub-assemblies, supplying the commercial aerospace, military and industrial markets with small-to-large “function critical” products.
