Jaxtimer Builder, Inc. takes pride in its work and aims to help clients create and maintain homes that provide lasting memories.Role Description The Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyannis, MA, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s financial management. Day-to-day tasks include managing the general ledger, preparing and analyzing financial statements, monitoring budgets, and maintaining accurate records for projects and operations. The Controller will oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll, job costing, and cash flow, while ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. This role collaborates closely with ownership, project managers, and department leads to provide financial insight, support decision-making, and improve operational efficiency. The Controller will also help refine internal controls, implement process improvements, and assist with forecasting and long-term financial planning.Qualifications Strong general accounting and financial reporting skills, including experience with general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and month-end/year-end close.Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support project planning, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making.Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and cash flow management in a small- to mid-sized business environment.Familiarity with job costing, project-based accounting, and construction or real estate industry finances is highly beneficial.Advanced skills with accounting software and Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and data reporting tools.Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with field teams, office staff, and leadership.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or similar certification is a plus.Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and commitment to maintaining confidential financial information.Prior experience in a controller
