Bookkeeper

Job Description We are seeking a strong individual contributor who can independently execute accounting functions with consistency and precision. The current bookkeeper is working three days a week but hours could increase to full-time.Responsibilities include:Process accounts payable and accounts receivablePerform day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functionsPrepare, issue, and track customer invoices and collectionsReconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accountsMaintain accurate general ledger activity and supporting documentationProcess payroll, commissions, and employee reimbursementsPrepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end close processesAssist with cash tracking and operational financial reportingMaintain organized accounting records and filesAssist with employee onboarding and offboarding administrationPerform job costingWork closely with leadership to ensure financial accuracy and operational organizationRequirementsMinimum of 5 years of full-charge bookkeeping experienceQuickBooks Online experienceStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reportingOffice 365 experience including Excel, Word, Access and OutlookExceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to independently identify and resolve discrepanciesStrong follow-through and ability to manage multiple prioritiesHigh level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentialityPositive, team-oriented attitude with strong work ethicBe able to obtain Notary Public in the state of KansasMust reside in the Kansas City metro areaCompany DescriptionAccent Sales & Service Co. is a family owned 62year-old Kansas City, Kansas based material handling equipment company.
