Application AnalystApplication Analyst position is responsible for the provision and support of application solutions, best practices of information systems. This role is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of workflow solutions and working directly with users to resolve their issues in working with the application and data. Job duties include working with the Services team to ensure constant standards and implementation of the software. The job also includes ensuring the quality of the application and accuracy of data and assisting in the defining and implementing of best practices.Responsibilities may include:Create and update documentation for application management procedures, geoscience workflows, and data management best practicesSupport application and data workflows related to Geology, Geophysics, and Reservoir Engineering disciplineIdentify areas where data can enhance current procedures to improve efficienciesConfigure and manage applications for efficient use by supported usersWork with business analysts and business areas to support their applicationSupporting, promoting and documenting all application management processes and proceduresAssist in the prioritization of project work and enhancementsProvide support and consult on projects including prioritizing tasks, communicating progress, and ensuring requirements are metResponsible for some development/customization of solutionsEnsure availability of applicationsPartnering with other groups as needed (ex: Business Analysts) to test new tools/applicationsData QC and Validation in the applicationsCommunicating issues/downtime regarding applications to Business Analysts and customersPartnering with vendors for escalated support
