This role reports into our Pennsauken, NJ site.What We NeedThis role leads the Quality Team to ensure the production of safe food by following Baldwin Richardson Foods’ Quality and Food Safety policies and procedures across the plant supply chain. The Supervisor executes the Food Safety Plan (FSP) and provides technical expertise to their cross-functional partners.Our Production Team follows a 2-2-3 12-hour shift schedule, providing a consistent routine for work-life balance.This opening is for our Night shift 5:45pm - 6:00am.Sample 2-2-3 Shift ScheduleWeek 1: Work Monday, Tuesday - Off Wednesday, Thursday - Work Friday, Saturday, SundayWeek 2: Off Monday, Tuesday - Work Wednesday, Thursday - Off Friday, Saturday, SundayWhat You Will DoCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws for Quality Assurance teamConducts root cause analysis and utilizes other quality /problem solving techniques to resolve quality issues including product holds, customer complaints, and GMP’s issuesTracks and reports metrics used to define performance that are aligned with company objectivesAnalyzes trends to understand performance opportunities and develops plan to close gapsEngages in non-conforming material process to ensure product is segregated and dispositionedPartners with Production, Sanitation, and Warehousing Departments to ensure GMP’s and preventive controls are followedCreates and provides training to BRF team members on quality and food safety as neededSupports plants’ readiness for governmental, 1st, 2nd and 3rd party audits (including SQF)Performs internal audits in production and storage areas and on procedures, policies and programsIdentifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and provides guidance on system improvements and staff trainingIdentifies areas to reduce waste, rework, and other inefficiencies with a focus on continuous process improvementUses statistical tools to create and assess processes and track progress of quality programsReviews adherence to budget on a monthly basisActs as primary representative for all QA lab equipment and calibration of plant scales and balancesActs as a backup for Compliance Analyst, Quality Analyst or Quality Technician as neededPerforms other related duties as assignedSupervisory: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.What You Will Need To Be SuccessfulBachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, or Chemical Engineering preferred.3-5 years of manufacturing quality assurance experience in a highly regulated environment such as food or pharmaceutical manufacturingAt least 1 year of prior supervisory experience requiredCertificates And LicensesPCQI, HACCP, and SPC trained preferredLean Six Sigma Green Belt preferredAt BRF, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
