Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Teacher at Saint Vincent's Day Home, located in Oakland, CA. The Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging lessons, creating nurturing learning environments, and fostering child development through effective teaching practices. Additionally, the Teacher will support training initiatives, maintain open communication with families, and collaborate with team members to provide quality education and care for children aged 2 to 6. Qualifications Proficiency in Lesson Planning and ability to create structured, age-appropriate learning activitiesBackground in Education and Teaching experience with young children aged 2 to 6Strong Communication skills and ability to build meaningful relationships with children, families, and team membersExperience or interest in Training and mentoring staff, supporting professional development and collaborationPatience, creativity, and adaptability to engage effectively with children of diverse backgroundsFamiliarity with Early Childhood Education standards and practicesMinimum of an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; a Bachelor's degree is preferredBilingual abilities or experience working in multicultural settings are a plus
