Come grow with us!Torch Technologies is seeking a Junior Test Engineer (Electrical/Automated Test Systems) to join our team and support reverse engineering and test development for Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) used on weapons platforms. This role focuses on analyzing electronic hardware, developing test strategies, and supporting validation and sustainment of fielded systems through hands-on testing and automation.As a Junior Test Engineer, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:Analyze LRUs to identify electrical interfaces, signals, and functional behaviorsReverse engineer electronic circuits to determine operational characteristics and test requirementsDevelop detailed test plans and procedures to validate analog, digital, power, and communication interfacesDefine stimulus and measurement strategies required to verify LRU functionalityPerform hands-on electronics testing using laboratory instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, power supplies, and data acquisition systemsSupport development of automated test procedures using PXI-based automated test systemsIntegrate COTS instrumentation including PXI/PXIe modules, switching systems, programmable power supplies, and measurement equipmentAssist in development and execution of test sequences using automated test frameworksPerform fault isolation and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies during testing activitiesDocument test procedures, results, and engineering findings to support sustainment and technical data packagesSupport hardware/software integration, debugging, and validation within lab environmentsCollaborate with electrical, software, and systems engineers to ensure accurate test coverage and system integrationRequired QualificationsU.S. CitizenshipBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.2+ years of relevant experience in electronic testing, test engineering, or related fieldAbility to obtain and maintain an active secret clearance.Experience with electronic circuit analysis and hands-on electronics testingExperience developing or executing test procedures for electronic assemblies or LRUsFamiliarity with automated test systems or electronic test instrumentationStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience working in defense, aerospace, or engineering environmentsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting DoD or Federal programsExperience with PXI/PXIe automated test systemsProgramming or test development experience with C#, LabVIEW, or NI TestStandExperience integrating software and hardware in automated test environmentsExperience with switching systems and automated measurement equipmentFamiliarity with ATE interconnect solutionsExperience using AI-assisted engineering toolsExperience working with cross-functional engineering teams and lab-based environmentsSchedule: M-F; 8-5Work Location: Torch site, Huntsville, AlabamaTravel: 0–10%Relocation Assistance Available: NoPosition Contingent Upon Award of Contract: YesBenefitsTorch Technologies is proud to offer a stable and professional work environment, a competitive salary, and an excellent, comprehensive benefit package including: ESOP participation, 401(k) match and safe-harbor contribution, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, Health Saving Accounts and Health Reimbursement Accounts, EAP, education assistance, paid time off, and holidays. Applying To Torch TechnologiesOnly those candidates invited for an interview will be contacted.
