***Local candidates******Must have a steady work history******Spanish bilingual preferred******100% onsite role***Shipping & Receiving ManagerKabobs, Inc – Lake City, GA (On-site)Position SummaryA well-established and growing food manufacturing organization located east of the Atlanta airport is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, inventory control, inbound and outbound logistics, and team performance.This role is responsible for ensuring efficient warehouse operations, maintaining accurate inventory levels, coordinating shipments and receipts, and leading a high-performing warehouse team focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, experience managing warehouse processes, and the ability to drive continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesShipping & Receiving OperationsOversee all daily shipping and receiving activitiesCoordinate inbound and outbound freight schedulesEnsure timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipmentsVerify shipping documentation, packing slips, bills of lading, and receiving recordsInvestigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, shortages, and damaged goodsCoordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments regarding shipment schedules and issuesWarehouse ManagementSupervise warehouse layout, organization, and material flowEnsure efficient storage and space utilizationMaintain warehouse cleanliness and organization standardsOversee equipment usage and coordinate maintenance needsMonitor workflow to ensure operational efficiencyInventory ControlMaintain accurate inventory records and system integrityOversee cycle counts and physical inventory auditsInvestigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actionsMonitor inventory levels to support production and customer requirementsDevelop and improve inventory control processesTeam LeadershipSupervise, coach, and develop warehouse/shipping personnelAssign daily workloads and monitor productivityConduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedbackAssist with hiring, training, and onboarding new team membersFoster accountability and teamwork within the departmentCompliance & SafetyEnsure compliance with company policies and operational proceduresMaintain OSHA and workplace safety standardsPromote a strong safety culture and enforce safe work practicesParticipate in safety audits and corrective action initiativesProcess ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve shipping, receiving, and inventory processesImplement best practices to increase efficiency and reduce errorsMonitor key performance indicators and drive operational improvementsQualifications5+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics operations2+ years of leadership or supervisory experienceStrong knowledge of warehouse procedures and inventory control practicesExperience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or inventory softwareProficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelStrong problem-solving and organizational skillsExcellent communication and leadership abilitiesForklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferredPreferred QualificationsExperience in food manufacturing, distribution, or related operationsLean / continuous improvement experienceExperience managing cycle count programsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workdayAbility to lift up to 50 pounds as neededAbility to work in a warehouse environment
