Internship — Gallery Assistant / Curatorial Assistant- New York City- Summer Internship | Start ASAP- Daily stipend provided + school credit availableWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join our contemporary art gallery team in New York City as a Gallery Assistant / Curatorial Assistant.This is a highly immersive internship for students or emerging arts professionals who want hands-on experience working inside an independent contemporary art gallery. Interns will gain exposure to all aspects of gallery operations, artist relations, exhibition production, and curatorial work.ResponsibilitiesAssisting with daily gallery operations and space maintenanceGreeting visitors and gallery sitting during open hours and eventsSupporting exhibition installation and documentationOrganizing exhibition materials, catalogs, archives, and paperworkAssisting with artist communication and relationship managementOutreach to artists, media, writers, and creative communitiesSupporting curatorial research, exhibition texts, and statementsWhat You’ll LearnThis internship offers a comprehensive introduction to how a small contemporary art gallery in New York City operates.
