Join us to make a tangible difference in the communities we serve, while advancing your career in a supportive, hybrid work environment.Hybrid Work Environment: Tuesday - Thursday In-Office | Monday & Friday WFHResponsibilitiesPrepare design calculations and plans for a variety of design projectsCollaborate within a multi-disciplinary environment of team membersOversee the entire lifecycle of projects from preliminary design through constructionLeverage your technical knowledge to coach, mentor, and develop less experienced engineering professionals (graduate engineers, technicians, and interns)Apply effective written and verbal communication skills when preparing technical reports and specifications, participating in project team discussions, and interacting with clients and contractorsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in civil (or similar) engineering with an emphasis on storm water, hydraulic design, and/or infrastructure designProfessional Engineer in the State of MNExperience working on MNDOT projectsMinimum of 12 years of progressive experience with water resources projectsWorking knowledge with CADD platforms (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation Open Roads Designer)Working knowledge of ArcMap, SWMM, HydroCAD, and/or HEC-RASStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook)Possession of a valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company requirementsPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience leading the preparation of water resources related permits for projects (USCG Section 10; USACE Section 404/408; State level NPDES/SWPPP and wetlands; Local level floodplain, watershed district, irrigation district, etc.)Previous project management experience or related responsibilities including: managing project scopes, schedules, and budgetsPrevious experience collaborating with or leading a multi-disciplined project teamPrevious experience assisting with market development activities to secure new contract opportunities including preparation of proposals and fee estimatesPrior experience or aspiration to establish, cultivate, and enhance relations with existing and prospective clients and stakeholders$115,000 - $160,000 a yearThe listed salary range reflects base pay for candidates with 12-25 years of related experience.
