Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:RN - ERJob Details:• Coordinate nursing care for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric presenting across the illness to wellness continuum• Perform all aspects of direct patient care in the Emergency Department• Conduct age-appropriate assessments and provide safe, effective care to all ages• Perform triage according to the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) 5 level triage process• Document patient care using medical terminology and maintain legally acceptable ED records• Coordinate care needs of multiple patients and prioritize patient care to ensure timely delivery• Advocate for patients through communication with providers, peers, and ancillary departments• Monitor life support and automated technical equipment• Perform routine and complex treatments including medication administration and emergency resuscitation protocols• Insert and safely administer IV fluids, blood products, and other parenteral fluids• Respond to crisis situations in a calm, efficient manner• Maintain equipment and supplies, complete checklists, and ensure rooms are stocked• Two-year degree in nursing required, four-year degree preferred• Wisconsin Registered Nursing license or active Compact Licensure required• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required, ATCN preferred• 2+ years of relevant work experience required• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required• Proficiency in computer documentation of patient care requiredFacility:This medical center provides comprehensive emergency services with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care across all age groups.
