Join us and let us make the future amazing together!We are looking for an Data Center Technician to join our team onsite in Springfield, Ohio, and who will share our Company values.Hypertec team members share the Company’s core values:InnovationCustomer FocusIntegrity and TrustEntrepreneurshipRespectCommunicationWhat You’ll Be ContributingInstall and maintain data center infrastructure including servers, racks, networking equipment, and storage devices.Perform structured cabling installations and maintenance to ensure optimal connectivity and organization within the data center environment.Diagnose and resolve hardware and cabling issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maintain uninterrupted operations.Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and performance of data center equipment.Maintain accurate records of equipment installations, configurations, and maintenance activities for reference and audit purposes.Coordinate with other teams including network engineers, system administrators, and facilities personnel to support data center operations and projects.Follow industry best practices and standards for data center operations, including safety protocols and security measures.Respond to data center emergencies and outages as needed, including after-hours and on-call support.What Sets You ApartHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or relevant college degree preferred.Min 5 years of experience preferred.Prior experience in data center operations, infrastructure installation, or related field.Proficiency in structured cabling techniques and standards.Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues.Familiarity with data center equipment including servers, switches, and storage devices.Available on call for emergenciesExcellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in on-call rotation as needed.Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.Physical dexterity for cable management and equipment installation.What’s In it For You: Comprehensive benefit plan offerings, allowing our employees to tailor their benefits to fit their unique health needs and preferences.
