Financial Planning and Analysis Manager
A growing Real Estate investment and property management firm is seeking an FP&A Manager to join its finance team. Reporting directly to the CFO, the FP&A Manager will play a key leadership role in driving the company's budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic planning initiatives. The FP&A Manager will partner closely with senior leadership, asset management, acquisitions, operations, and accounting teams to deliver meaningful financial insights, support investment decisions, and help drive organizational growth and performance.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the annual budgeting process, monthly forecasting cycles, and long-range strategic planning efforts across the organizationDevelop, enhance, and oversee complex financial models related to portfolio performance, property operations, capital projects, and corporate initiativesPartner with executive leadership to analyze business performance and provide actionable recommendations to support strategic decision-makingPrepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for senior management, investors, and key stakeholdersLead variance analysis efforts, identifying key drivers impacting operational and financial performanceCollaborate with Asset Management, Acquisitions, Property Management, Accounting, and Operations teams to ensure accurate financial planning and reportingSupport investment underwriting, capital allocation decisions, and portfolio-level financial analysisManage scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, and ad hoc financial analyses related to acquisitions, dispositions, financing activities, and strategic initiativesIdentify opportunities to improve FP&A processes, reporting capabilities, data integrity, and automation initiativesAssist in the implementation and optimization of financial systems, planning tools, and reporting platformsMentor and develop junior finance team members while helping establish best practices within the FP&A functionQualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field5–8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, real estate finance, investment analysis, private equity, REITs, or related fieldStrong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skillAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial planning platforms such as Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, Oracle, OneStream, or similar systems preferredStrong understanding of financial statements, real estate performance metrics, and investment analysisExperience working with ERP and property management systems such as Yardi, MRI, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle preferredExcellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior leadershipProven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience within real estate investment, property management, development, REIT, or private equity real estate environmentsCPA, CFA, MBA, or progress toward one of these designations is preferredExperience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platformsPrior leadership or team management experience is a plusStrong understanding of portfolio analytics, property-level reporting, and real estate investment performance metrics
