Servers at Parry's are responsible for owning their section and guest experience from greeting to goodbye. This role requires applying CHEERS at every tableusing conversation, awareness, and product knowledge to anticipate needs, create ease, and build sales. Serving at Parry's is a sales role supported by hospitality, not a transactional job.
Responsibilities + DutiesApply CHEERS at every table:Cheerful Prompt Greet: Greet guests promptly, introduce yourself, and set expectations for the experience
Hospitality First: Prioritize the guest experience over task completion
Engage Guests: Build rapport through conversation (e.g., \"Have you been here before?\" or \"What brought you in today?\")
Ease Their Needs: Anticipate refills, pacing, boxes, sauces, kid needs, and celebrations
Ready for 'Em: Manage section flow, table turns, and communication with Hosts and Service Managers
Swipe That CardSay Goodbye: Close the experience with gratitude, an invitation back, and clear payment executionGuide guests through the menu by explaining how it's laid out and highlighting signature items and drinks
Make thoughtful recommendations and upsell naturally based on guest preferences
Identify first-time guests and regulars and adjust service accordingly
Communicate guest insights to teammates (celebrations, preferences, timing needs)
Maintain cleanliness, pre-bussing standards, and sanitation throughout the shift
Complete opening and closing duties accurately and on time
Qualifications + SkillsRestaurant or serving experience preferred
Comfortable selling and making recommendations
Strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills
Ability to work nights and weekends
Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs. as needed
Professional, energetic, and guest-focused demeanor
Willingness to learn and apply coaching in real time
