Project Controller

Project ControllerA Taleo client is looking to hire a Project Controller to support program and project controls across a portfolio of capital projects. This team is focused on delivering centralized programs and services that support safety and operational excellence.Reporting to the Program Services Manager, this role is responsible for managing project financials end-to-end, including cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, and overall budget oversight.What you’ll be doingTrack and manage project costs across work orders, purchase orders, and invoicesHandle purchase requisitions and invoice attestationMonitor budgets, forecasts, and actuals, resolving discrepancies as they come upSupport Project Managers with financial reporting and analysis for estimating, contractor selection, and project executionPrepare detailed project and program cost reportsPerform final cost reconciliation at project closeAnalyze cost data and project progress to identify trends and forecast future spendShare insights with project teams and leadership through reporting and discussionsIdentify opportunities to improve forecasting and cost control processes and capture lessons learnedOwn full-cycle project controller responsibilities from initiation through to closeMaintain strong working relationships with internal teams, contractors, and vendorsWhat you bringDegree in Accounting, Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field5+ years of experience in project cost control, ideally within capital projectsStrong understanding of cost control concepts and practicesAdvanced Excel skills and experience working with financial dataStrong communication skills and ability to work across teams and leadershipComfortable learning new tools and processes in a project environmentTeam-oriented and collaborative
