Pay or shift range: $265 USD to $267.50 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Description We are seeking a contracted Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in Petaluma in Sonoma County, CA. As the Psychiatrist, you will provide psychiatric services to our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in Petaluma, one of five campuses throughout the Bay Area. You will review and accept referrals to the PHP and complete initial psychiatric evaluations to guide treatment and medication decisions. You'll prescribe and monitor medications and collaborate closely with the care team by offering consultation and education around medication use. ABOUT STEP PROGRAMS The STEP (Skills, Transitions, Exploration, and Progress) program provides Partial Hospitalization services to youth ages 12-17. The goal of the STEP program is to provide intensive, short-term stabilization services to enable our clients to step down to lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment. All groups are designed to teach youth the skills necessary to help them learn about their mental health, provide psychoeducation, and help them learn skills to feel better and be safe. STEP consists of a multidisciplinary team of counselors, clinicians, a nurse, psychiatrist, and program supervisor. RESPONSIBILITIES Review and accept referrals to the partial hospitalization program Completeinitialpsychiatricevaluations of clients to determine medication and treatment needs Prescribe and monitor medications and provide psychiatric reassessments as needed during a client’s enrollment Provide consultation and education to treatment staff regarding medication use as part of the treatment regimen for each client during the course of their treatment in program Provide coverage for other psychiatrists and other campuses as needed via telehealth Maintain timely and accurate paperwork as needed, including Medi-Cal documentation Additional responsibilities as by the Program Director, Assistant Program Director and/or Agency Medical Director QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Board eligibility or certification in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry Active California Medical License, Current and Valid DEA Certificate Successful completion of Seneca’s credentialing process Proof of liability insurance Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements SCHEDULE Contracted Monday - Friday, flexible hours Up to 16 hours per week, based on census Hybrid; provide in-person services with some flexibility for some services via telehealth BENEFITS Contracted $240 Child Psychiatrist - no certifications $250 General Psychiatry - board certified child psychiatrist $265 Child Psychiatrist - board certified child psychiatrist Additional compensation upon passing the bilingual language proficiency exam Equal Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
