Position SummaryThe Set-Up Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of EPS molding equipment to support production operations. This role ensures equipment operates effectively to meet quality and productivity standards.Essential FunctionsSet up, adjust, and maintain EPS molding machines to ensure safe and efficient operation Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve equipment and process issues in a timely manner Select appropriate materials (beads) and adjust process parameters in accordance with work instructions Perform mechanical repairs to equipment with a focus on quality output and cycle time efficiency Verify accuracy of machine setup following mold changes Adjust and support programmable logic controller (PLC) settings to improve product quality and operational efficiency Repair or replace machine components, including fill guns, hoses, seals, and drains Train and support entry-level set-up technicians in equipment operation and basic troubleshooting Complete required production, maintenance, quality and safety documentation accurately and timely Participate in preventive maintenance and continuous improvement activities (e.g., 5-S, PPS) Follow all company safety policies and procedures Perform other job-related duties as assigned QualificationsMechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot industrial equipmentWorking knowledge of pneumatic, steam, vacuum and water systems in an industrial settingIntermediate computer skills Basic reading, writing, and math skills Physical DemandsThe Physical Demands Described Here Are Representative Of Those That Must Be Met To Successfully Perform The Essential Functions Of This Job, With Or Without Reasonable AccommodationAbility to stand and walk for extended periods Frequent bending, stooping, and climbing Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds Ability to push and pull up to 45 pounds Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, moderate noise levels, and varying temperatures.
