Certified Pre-Apprentice Instructor (Independent Contractor)

WRTP BIG STEP is seeking experienced and credentialed instructors to deliver pre-apprenticeship training through project-based engagements throughout Northern Wisconsin. Instructors play a critical role in preparing participants for careers in the skilled trades by delivering industry-recognized curriculum and hands-on training. This is an independent contractor role, not an employee position. Engagements are structured as discrete instructional projects with defined timelines and deliverables. Projects will be in various facilities throughout Northern WisconsinKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver pre-apprenticeship instruction, including:MC3 (Multi-Craft Core Curriculum)OSHA safety trainingCPR instructionConstruction math, blueprint reading, and tool identificationHands-on construction skills trainingFacilitate engaging, high-quality instructional sessions aligned with program goalsEnsure participant safety and adherence to training standardsMaintain professionalism when representing WRTP BIG STEP in training environmentsSubmit invoices based on instructional sessions deliveredProject StructureAssignments are project-based, with clearly defined scope and deliverablesProjects may last up to 16 weeksTotal engagement may not exceed 6 months within a 12-month period without renewalInstructors propose availability and maintain control over instructional methodsWork Structure & ExpectationsIndependent contractor status (no employee benefits)Responsible for own taxes, insurance, and business expensesNot required to attend internal staff meetings or organizational functionsOperate independently without employee supervisionRequirementsTo teach OSHA or CPR a valid Train-the-Trainer certification must be held:OSHACPRDemonstrated experience in construction trades or workforce trainingAbility to pass background checks and comply with safety standardsStrong instructional and facilitation skillsTo Apply:Submit your resume and copies of relevant certifications.
