RN Lead Outpatient GI Lab- Full Time - Days

Job Description:PURPOSE OF JOB:. Under the supervision of the Clinical Administrator of GI, leads the day to day activities of Inpatient GI (GI) associates, facilitates orientation, competency and continuing education in conjunction with providing nursing care.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Plans and oversees the daily activities of the Out-patient GI area Ensuresorientation, competencies and continuing education of the Out-patient GIAssociatesCommunicates and collaborates with patients, physicians, family memember and other health care disciplines in order to achieve excellence in patient care during their stay3. Actively participates in and supports departmental and organizational qualityinitiatives and goals4. Provides nursing care in a manner that promotes quality and patient safety5. Maintains clinical competency according to unit specific standardsJob Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS:Education: BSN required, MSN preferredCurrent licensure in Commonwealth of PennsylvaniaExperience: At least 5 years nursing experience with 2 of those in GI and management experience preferred. Must have experience with conscious sedation.D. Other Certifications: BLS for Healthcare providersACLSE. Other Skills: Computer skills with EMR and Microsoft ProductsExcellent interpersonal and team building skills
