Chief of Staff

Job Overview The Founding Chief of Staff will be one of the first employees in our stealth healthcare Gen AI company. In this role, you will be working across all the lines of this new venture (Operations, Finance, Go-To-Market/Sales/Marketing, Product and HR/Legal). You will support the CEO in building all the beginning motions of a 0-10 seed stage business in Gen AI, healthcare and technology. The role is both strategic and highly operational. You will directly report to and work alongside the CEO. This position is remote but more ideal if the candidate lives in or near the Bay Area and can work alongside the CEO a few times a week (in the Palo Alto, CA area). What you'll do: You will be responsible for coordinating all foundational components of launching this new venture. Including the following: ○ Strategy/Finance & Operations: ■ Help the CEO run weekly team meetings, take notes and manage the agenda. ■ Manage the company’s operating budget and monthly burn. ■ Set up payroll and medical benefits. ■ Manage accounts receivable/payables for outsourced vendors and fractional consultants. ■ Help define and document company KPIs for tracking business performances. ■ Assist the CEO with strategic planning and scaling over time. ○ Team Building ■ Help draft up a hiring plan and assist the CEO with talent sourcing, evaluating, interviewing and recruiting additional founding team members. ■ Help draft Offer Letters, Confidentiality Agreements and/or help paper Advisory Agreements/Fractional Talent. ■ Help plan company off sites and quarterly onsite team meetings. ○ Sales & GTM ■ Assist the CEO and/or fractional Business Development consultants with all go-to-market initiatives including Sales Ops. ■ Assist in the drafting of Customer Letter of Intent (LOI) and Master Services Agreements (MSA). ■ Help fractional Business Development talent manage and update the Sales Pipeline/CRM. ■ Help the CEO and team define pilot and commercial pricing. ■ Help the CEO and team with competitive market intelligence. ■ Help the CEO devise and execute a commercial launch plan. ■ Help the CEO create and evolve marketing collateral and sales enablement tools ■ Help manage outside Agencies or consulting talent. ○ Fundraising ■ Support the CEO on future financings via fundraising. ■ Manage the Investor Tracker and CRM. ■ Help manage and maintain the fundraising Data Room and diligence artifacts. ○ Investor & Board Management ■ Help the CEO with board deck creation and monthly reports to investors in the business. What you'll need: Background ○ 4-8 years of experience in digital health startups, healthcare investing or strategic management consulting ○ Having a strategic management consulting background is a bonus ○ You must have strong financial acumen ○ Bonus if you have worked with or understand selling into health insurance plans or health systems/providers ○ Undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in business, an MBA is preferred. ○ Experience managing critical external relationships and negotiations with clients, investors, vendors, suppliers, candidates, and other key partners.
