Developer Advocate - 220429
Overview
As a Developer Advocate at Teradata, you enable builders to use our Autonomous Knowledge Platform and agentic tools. You create practical, credible technical content and run programs that engage the developer community. You collaborate with engineers, product, and GTM teams to align developer experiences with Teradata’s mission. You’ll explore agent-driven development scenarios and share hands-on experiments with the ecosystem. This role combines content, community, and product feedback to drive adoption and impact.
ResponsibilitiesCreate technical content (tutorials, demos, blogs, how-to guides, workshops) to help developers build with Teradata.Run and support community programs (office hours, webinars, DevTalk livestreams, meetups) and engage the developer community.Answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and route recurring friction to internal teams.Contribute to KPIs around developer adoption, engagement, satisfaction, content quality, and advocacy impact.Speak at conferences and events to raise Teradata brand in the developer ecosystem.Track industry trends to position Teradata within the broader developer landscape.Partner with engineers, product managers, and partners to understand needs and improve developer experience.Review and test early product previews and developer assets to ensure accuracy and usability.
Key requirements2+ years in roles such as developer advocate, technical writer, or related positions.Experience building technical content, code samples, demos, or workshops for developers.Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.Working knowledge of APIs, authentication, testing, CI/CD, version control, and distributed systems.Proficiency in Python and at least one other language (JavaScript, Go, or Rust).Experience managing code repositories and collaborative workflows (GitHub).Clear written and verbal communicationCuriosity and experimental mindsetIndependent, organized, and accountablePythonJavaScript/Go/RustAPIs
