Maintenance Level II (Second Shift)

Denison is a premium aluminum casting and machining facility with a very diverse customer base, serving a wide variety of industries including aviation, defense, automotive, commercial, and industrial markets.We pride ourselves in seeking out talented candidates, who thrive in team driven environments and who understand that through teamwork, communication and a continual pursuit of excellence in our industry, we can accomplish great things.Summary Description:Provide assistance to production crews in mechanical and machine operations, building and facilities and associated equipment.Essential Functions:Under limited supervision and with minimal technical guidance, keep plant machinery and mechanical equipment in good repairRespond in a timely manner to work orders and management requestsExamine a variety of machines to diagnose and repair equipmentOverhaul machines and equipment, including scrapping of ways and bearing sand fitting partsDismantle machines, replace defective parts, reassemble machines and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operationMay provide work training to less experienced staffPerform work as maintenance level I, when neededFollow all safety regulations and company policies regarding safetyWork around a wide variety of equipment, chemicals and machinery; must be aware of safety hazards at all timesPLC experience is a plusMust maintain a Good Attendance RecordWork Over time as neededPerform any and all other job related tasks as assigned Skills or Experience Required:High school degree or GED is required; vocational tech training in mechanical related field is preferred. Must have 2 years of tech training (or equivalent experience) and at least 2-5 years of related mechanical experience in hydraulics, electronics repair, and related mechanical applications. Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, layout plans and machine instructions. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions with accuracy. Must be able to bend, reach, lift and move up to 100 lbs. without assistance. Must be able to climb up on ladders, equipment and roofs as necessary.
