Title: Technical Writer / Business Analyst (IT Documentation)Location: Tallahassee, Florida (Onsite)SummarySeeking a Technical Writer with strong Business Analyst experience to support IT documentation, requirements gathering, and stakeholder communication. This role focuses on translating complex technical and business concepts into clear, high-quality documentation while supporting cross-functional teams in a structured project environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and manage IT and project documentation (manuals, guides, system docs)Translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly contentGather and document business and system requirements (user stories, As-Is/To-Be)Conduct interviews with SMEs and stakeholders to collect and validate informationReview and edit technical artifacts (design docs, system overviews, specifications)Support business process modeling, analysis, and improvement initiativesEnsure documentation aligns with PMO standards and regulatory requirementsFacilitate meetings, prepare reports, and provide executive-level briefingsCollaborate with developers, QA, architects, and business teamsRequired Skills & Experience3+ years of technical or business writing experience5+ years as IT Business Analyst or similar roleStrong experience with requirements gathering and documentationKnowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologiesExperience with business process mapping and re-engineeringAbility to write user stories and system requirementsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)Strong communication, editing, and organizational skillsExperience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersPreferred SkillsExperience with tools like JIRA, MS Project, Power BI, TableauKnowledge of SQL, data analysis tools, or reporting platformsFamiliarity with SDLC (Agile/Scrum/Waterfall)Experience in government or regulated environmentsCertifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA)EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Technical Writing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
