Founded in 1837, Cuyahoga County’s safety-net health system operates four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.Summary Manages daily operations of assigned site(s), ensuring quality, cost-effective, and efficient workflows, and processes between the clinical and operational disciplines, resulting in a positive patient experience. Plans, coordinates, and evaluates, in conjunction with other stakeholders, all site operations. Oversees front-end staffing for patient care delivery at the site. Collaborates with nurse manager(s) on the management of work assignments, overtime, budget and ratio targets, float requests and flexible scheduling. Implements and develops current and new operations initiatives that impact the growth and development of site and service lines. Assists with enforcing Joint Commission and regulatory standards at site(s). Ensures staff are aware of and comply with MetroHealth patient care practices, clinical quality initiatives, and human resources policies. Serves as on-site resource person for all patient or practice concerns. Works collaboratively with Clinical Operations and Nursing Practice on deployment, onboarding and in identifying opportunities for new or revised programs that help ensure access and growth. QualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s Degree in a Healthcare related field or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below.Four years of combined progressively responsible clinical and management experience in an ambulatory or inpatient setting.Understanding of financial reporting, including P&L.Excellent interpersonal skills along with experience in working with multi-disciplinary groups.Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent critical thinking and analytical aptitude.Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication and delegation and problem-solving skills.Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.PreferredMaster’s degree in Healthcare related field.Experience in planning and analysis, financial management and/or marketing experience along with the related work experience that applies to the specific practice.Understanding of Lean management process improvement EPIC template management and experience with the operation of health care computer systems.Clinical and operational experience at one or more MetroHealth ambulatory sites.Physical Demands: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. Finger dexterity to operate PC keyboard. Ability to hear normal voice sounds. Ability to see computer monitor, nursing schedules, and reports. Travel to sites within The MetroHealth System ambulatory network.
