Electrical Field Engineer (SCADA) Fully Remote • Remote or Lakewood CO - Lakewood, CO 80215Overview Salary Range $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 Salary/year Level Experienced Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level Not Specified Travel Percentage Significant: 51 - 100% Category EngineeringDescription As a mid-level Field Engineer in the Strategic Projects group, you will be responsible for providing Engineering Field Services as well as performing Engineering Design and Analysis under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer in a manner that provides the client with quality service that is on time and within budget.Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 / yearThe salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market.This opportunity is available to both local / in-office (Lakewood, CO) and full-time remote candidates.Essential Responsibilities Performs equipment, control system, communications, troubleshooting, relay testing, start-up, and commissioning servicesProvides onsite construction support and supervision; attends construction meetings, assist with construction RFIs, questions, and design updates; assists with project scheduling, coordination between Engineers, Owners, Vendors, Contractors, and other parties; verifies compliance with designsPrepares field testing, troubleshooting, investigation, and construction progress reportsPrepares a variety of documents and reports associated with projects including cost estimates, budget reports, and studiesPrograms, wires, and installs protective relaying and control systemsPrograms, installs, and tests communications, SCADA, and PLC systemsPerform detailed design of all aspects of Electric Power Systems to include one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control and relaying schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, conduit and cable sizing/routing, grounding design, writing of equipment specifications, project and construction cost estimates, and project schedulingReviews the work of Designers, Drafters, and Field Service Personnel for general quality and accuracy, as requiredMaintains a thorough understanding and applications of applicable Codes and StandardsMaintains strong and responsive Company-Client relationshipsMaintains high ethical and professional standardsExpected to work additional time beyond 40 hours/week as required to complete projects, proposals and/or administrative functionsAttend conferences, training workshops, seminars, regular undergraduate and graduate classes as appropriate for advancement and as required to maintain quality of workAttend safety training and follow safety rules and guidelinesOther duties as assignedMust Have Education: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, Electric Power option preferredExperience: 2+ years of Engineering and relevant field experienceLicensure: FE, PE is a plus, but not requiredProficiency with AutoCAD and power system software such as EasyPower, ETAP or SKMProficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and other computer softwareExperience with Omicron test equipment preferredProfessional, articulate, and able to exercise good independent judgement and discretionHighly organized, motivated self-starterProven record of delivering a high standard of quality work with exceptional attention to detailComfortable working with ambiguity and creating systems and plans where there are noneFlexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment with a quickly growing teamGood interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills; ability to interact successfully with Clients, Contractors, Vendors, and at all levels of the organization; demonstrates high emotional intelligencePossesses effective written and oral communications skillsA strong command of the English languageApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basisNice to Have Experience with apparatus testing and familiarity with NETA standardsOSHA 10 certificationWorking Conditions Work Environment: - Work is performed in the field setting and some office work is also requiredTravel: - Frequent: 50 – 75%Physical Activities:Managerial Responsibility: - Must be able to lift 50lbs.Team Member is responsible for managing their own work schedule with input from their supervisor and completing assigned tasks.
