The Production supervisor reports to the Production Manager and exercises direct control over a Production department and coordinates with other Production Supervisors. As part of your role, you will be responsible for:Directing, coordinating and planning the activities of a specific production department/shift under master production schedule and the hourly work force (including machine operators, i.e., milling, mixing, canning equipment, etc.) involved in the manufacture of productServing as lead person for a group of hourly employees utilizing established methodsCommunicating procedures to all subordinates, assuring they are understood and implemented when applicableInterpreting statistical reports, cycle time specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns dutiesManage daily workflow and associated responsibilitiesUpdate the Operational Data Entry Network (ODEN) as needed throughout the shiftReview and analyze data to make informed business decisionsSupport Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Uptime Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Foster and uphold corporate programs and directivesPromote a strong safety cultureMonitor, prioritize, and support customer demandsEncourage the growth and career development of new hiresQualificationsTo perform your job as expected, you will be required to:Have 2 to 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturingHave a High School diploma or GED equivalentHave manufacturing, warehouse and supervisory/managerial experienceDemonstrate mechanical skills and knowledge of Production processesHave excellent math skills, as well as oral, written, reading and comprehension skills in order to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsDemonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs (MS Office) and other computer skillsHave prior experience leading, coaching, and developing a team and delivering performance metrics through othersPossess strong skills, knowledge, and capability in Manufacturing principles such as OEE, Lean, or TPMIn addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:SAP KnowledgeLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certificationAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groupsProficiency in Spanish, sign language, or other languageManufacturing Program Planning and Coordination UV/TP/OSF (Ink) Manufacturing knowledgeHave worked in a production or manufacturing environmentExperience with Inventory ControlExperience with Change ManagementAdditional InformationWe offer a competitive salary with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, pet insurance, HSA and FSA, 401(k), and more.
