Support C.N.A.s to ensure resident care standards are being met and maintained. Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.Shift DetailsFull Time, 7:00 p.m. - 7:15 a.m. (to include every other weekend)RequirementsThe successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:Must have strong clinical skillsAbility and knowledge to care for geriatric residentsAssess, implement, evaluate and /or re-evaluate resident care needsProvide direction and assign daily duties to nursing staffAct as a resource for staff concerning resident care and needs and keep management abreast of the statusImplement physician orders and administer medications and treatmentsParticipate and comply with all internal CQI and external regulatory requirementsDocument pertinent information in resident’s chart such as nursing interventions, any problems noted, limitations of resident or significant change in resident’s mood, behavior, affect or cognitionMeet all documentation standards and follow through with all charting requirementsUse and adapt to new technologies, including tools, equipment, methods of application, computerized system, SARA communication system (resident call system) and etc., to impact productivity of department and services; keep job-required technical skills up to dateCollaborates with resident, family and team to formulate individualized care planWork collaboratively with the team and management to coordinate care and manage outcomesImplement appropriate care to meet spiritual, physical, psychological and social needsAct as an advocate for residents, staff and others and treats others with respectPositive attitude and initiativeAbility to multi-task and work as a team as well as independentlyAbility to walk, stand, reach, bend and squat frequently, lift 25 pounds without assistance, 26+ pounds with manual or mechanical assistance.Required Education And ExperienceValid license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia in good standingCPR, AED and First Aid CertificationSummaryWestminster Canterbury Richmond opened in 1975 and is a premier continuing care retirement community known for its tradition of service excellence.
