MSP Account Manager

About the roleThis isn't a typical sales role — if you've spent time selling IT managed services, managing MSP client accounts, or working as a vCIO, this is where you fit.⚠️ Important: We're specifically looking for candidates with MSP or IT services experience. If your background is outside technology services, this role is likely not the right fit.Talix has been supporting Connecticut small and mid-sized businesses since 1988. We provide managed IT services, infrastructure & data center hosting, cybersecurity, cloud, help desk, and consulting. We're in business to help other businesses grow — and we need an account manager who thinks the same way.Role and Responsibilities:·        Own a book of MSP clients as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor·        Understand each client's business and IT environment - then proactively recommend the right solutions·        Run quarterly business reviews, renewals, and strategic planning sessions·        Identify upselling and cross-sell opportunities across services like M365, security, cloud, and backups·        Collaborate with our technical and scheduling teams to deliver seamless service·        Maintain accurate records in ConnectWise Manage and Automate·        Travel to client sites as needed for relationship-building and reviewsQualifications and Required Experience:·        2+ years in MSP account management, IT sales, or vCIO work·        Real understanding of MSP services: M365, networking, security, backups, endpoint management·        Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical business owners·        Track record of hitting targets and managing multiple accounts simultaneously·        Comfort with CRM/PSA tools — ConnectWise experience is a plus·        Proactive mindset: you spot opportunities before clients askBonus points:·        Hands-on IT / technical background·        Familiarity with NIST, CMMC, or HIPAA compliance frameworks·        vCIO or strategic planning experience·        MSP contract renewal experienceCompany Benefits:·        Base salary + commission·        Health & dental insurance·        PTO and paid holidays·        401K savings plan·        Short- and long-term disabilityAbout TalixTalix has served the Connecticut area since 1988.
