Electrical Foreman (San Diego)
Job SummaryAn Electrical Foreman is responsible for daily operations, installing, alteration, addition and repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials on construction projects. This position will lead a team of electricians, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and deliver projects on schedule, on time and within budget.Key Responsibilities Manage Jobsite:Execute projects safely and under budget. Ensure adherence to specifications and project schedules of contract work. Responsible for scheduling and conducting all job site inspections, testing, and owner training. Project RecordsTurn-in documents such as Daily Job Logs, JHA’s and T&M Tickets Electronically via Procore/iPad. Lead And MentorManage a team of electricians providing training, guidance and resolving on-site challenges. DrawingsReview and cross reference complete set of plan and design criteria, blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical plans to ensure accurate execution of project tasks. Complete As-builts at projects end. Strong Communication SkillsCoordinate with Field Superintendents, Director of Field Operations, Project Managers and other trades to ensure seamless operations. Project, Material, & Equipment PlanningProactively foresee, plan, and order materials, tools and equipment needs for upcoming phases of work. InstallationProvide oversight for installation switchboards, transformer raceways, and lighting control systems. TroubleshootResolve complex electrical issues during course of construction. Equipment OperationHave the experience and ability to operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, and single man-lifts, etc. in order to perform scope of work. SafetyMaintain and work with a “safety first” approach to all work while remaining in compliance with company polices, industry regulations and standards.Maintain clean, organized work areas.Education, Skills And ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience as a foreman electrician.Valid Certified General Electrician License.OSHA 30 Certified is a plus.Ability to work in various weather conditions and diverse environments, including confined spaces and heights.Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and the use of hands and arms to operate the equipment.Must have good vision, strong sense of balance and no fear of heights.Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, pipe bending, and industry NEC code.Experience And Knowledge Of Requirements For Specialty Projects.Proven leadership skills with ability to efficiently manage a diverse team of 7+.Must possess problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and organizational skills.
