The Financial Analyst will drive all aspects of accounting and analysis for the Animal Nutrition Division, while working closely with the Finance Team to ensure effective internal controls and compliance with policies, champion process improvements, and act as a liaison between Finance and the Animal Nutrition Divisional functions. This person participates in establishing and implementing major goals and objectives and serves as a resource in all aspects of accounting and finance, ensures proper recording of financial transactions, oversees division budgeting, forecasting, standards development, and capital expenditures. Additionally, this person ensures that accounting practices follow established legal, regulatory, and company procedures, partners cross-functionally to drive process improvements and lead Finance efforts to improve efficiency, financial transparency, and decision-making.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Highly focused on the Animal Nutrition Division, while working closely with the Global Finance Team to promote corporate growth and enhance profitability.Provide timely, accurate financial performance reporting, identify trends, and recommend actions to business partners.Analyze performance and variances to provide financial insights.Prepare annual budget, forecasts, and capital expenditure plans and present to management for approval.Support Sales/R&D in assessing business opportunities and developing price quotes.Build close partnership with Operations team to optimize plant performance, manage costs, and ensure capacity needs are met.Assess opportunities and improve processes/systems to improve profitability. Coordinate with Finance & Accounting team to ensure business transactions are properly recorded.Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with company policies and accounting principles.Other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field of studyMinimum of 5 years’ experience in financial analytics including GAAP reporting for a manufacturing businessKnowledge of financial and accounting analysis, practices, and proceduresExperience in making and influencing decisions that positively impact financials.Strong experience with ERP, accounting systems and Microsoft ExcelKnowledge And SkillsCritical thinking and logical reasoning skills, including complex problem solving, troubleshooting and decision making.Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.Ability to present technical, numerical, complex data to stakeholders in an effective and persuasive manner.Sound analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus.Possesses excellent organization skills and detailed orientation.Ability to work with and maintain confidential data.
