Practices high quality medical care in performing a variety of patient care activities such as patient preparation for exams, stocking supplies, patient history documentation, communication of STAT results to ordering providers, and various other Radiology duties.Patient exam and preparationPrepares scanning rooms for patient exams, including cleaning, sterilizing, stocking suppliesEscorts patients to scanning rooms and assists in obtaining pertinent information, which may include obtaining weight, height, health history, and symptomsAssists with Exams and proceduresAssists the technologists with workflow, positions, and contrast preparationAs needed, assist with setting up medical coils or phantom handling and exam/procedure preparationAssist Radiology Coordinator with distribution of exams to RadiologistsConnect Radiologists with ordering providers to report STAT resultsAssist Radiology QA and Compliance team with other data projectsQuality control proceduresCleans, disinfects and/or sterilizes coils and equipment following safety and OSHA standardsMaintains department areas and patient areas for cleanlinessStocks clean linen and empties the soiled linen receptacles as neededMaintains department logs assuring adherence to DMG Safety/OSHA cleaning standardsPatient DocumentationUtilizes appropriate Hyperspace/Amicas computer functions and interaction with the Technologist to facilitate patient flowDocuments patient information, including current medications, reasons for the visit, and patient symptomsAssures that department safety procedures and contrast preparation procedures are followed correctly by the collection of information from labs and surgery/implant reportsFamiliarizes oneself with necessary department paperwork and can identify and complete itPrepares patient paperwork as per department guidelinesQualificationsHigh School diploma or GED requiredOne year of experienceOne-year training in medical office/recent ambulatory care experience preferredKnowledge of windows applications for computersUnderstand and comply with HIPAA regulationsAbility to work with patients of all ages with psychiatric conditionsBasic knowledge of Medical TerminologyAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills with Radiologists and ProvidersThe compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $15-$21/hour, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards packag
