Buyer/Planner

The HT Group is partnering with a well know automotive performance part manufacturer and supplier who is seeking a full time Buyer/Planner to join their Sourcing and Purchasing team! The ideal candidate is extremely analytical, has worked with vendors overseas, can build demand plans to execute a buy strategy, and can get in the weeds with SKU level buying. This is an awesome opportunity to work for a fast-growing company that provides room for advancement and career growth. **Management experience is a must**Compensation: 95-110k+ DOE (bonus eligibility + great benefits)Location: Wadsworth Ohio (on-site)Relocation assistance offered  Responsibilities:Buy and source raw materials domestically and internationally for in house product developmentStrategically buy and source products to maintain inventory levels and increase margin dollarsMeasure, analyze and report key process metrics and monitor adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs)Review inventory levels to understand overages, working with vendors on inventory exit strategiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with vendors; plan and meet regularly with top vendorsDevelop strategic plans with vendors to grow categories Forecast demand to place buys based on seasonality and trendUtilize Excel to build demand plans to execute a buy strategy Manage, train, and develop sourcing/purchasing team members Qualifications:5+ years of experience in a buying/demand planning or similar roleMust have direct management/supervisory experienceAbility to build a demand plan in Excel without demand planning tool or ERPExperience working with vendors to navigate cancellations, switches, mark downs, etc.Extensive knowledge of demand forecasting and SKU level buying Knowledge of the automotive performance industry highly preferredMust be highly proficient in MS Excel (Pivot tables, V-look Ups, conditional formatting, large data sets)Strong understanding of inventory management, vendor relationships, buying processes, and inventory forecastingHighly motivated self starter with strong leadership skills Ability to identify process improvement and recommend changesMust have experience working with vendors overseas and navigating tarrifs #HPIND
